02 Apr Swift Current Main Street Launches Grant Program
Swift Current Main Street, in partnership with Downtown Swift Current, is pleased to announce the launch of its newest Downtown Grant Program.
The new program, devised to fill the void left from the former Provincial Grant Program, will offer matching grant dollars for façade restoration and alterations, building maintenance, signage, and downtown beautification. These incentives are offered by the Swift Current Main Street Organization to provide property owners within the Downtown Central Commercial District tangible community support as well as the financial means necessary to assist with the restoration and maintenance of our downtown resources to the benefit of the community.
“Our local board members are very excited to begin offering some substantial financial support to downtown property owners and businesses,” says Lloyd Begley, the Main Street Board Chair. “Now that the community has witnessed a number of successful projects finished under the previous Provincial funding, we’re excited to see what may be possible from offering our own local funding.”
The grant information will be made available through the Main Street Website at mainstreetsc.ca, or interested parties may enquire in person with the Planning and Growth Development Division located at City Hall.
